August 6th〜: “Let’s go for a drive” by Shingo Wakagi (Photographer) x Mike Ming (Artist)
This is a series of collaborative work by a photographer, Shingo Wakagi, and an artist, Mike Ming, created while they across the country in the United States by car.Each print is a unique piece that Wakagi took a picture and Mike drew the artwork and lyrics.
This is the same series known for their exhibition in the 90s and key persons in Tokyo such as Jun Takahashi (Designer, Undercover), Mariko Chikada (stylist), Takashi Kumagai (stylist), Toshiki Arai (chief editor, “Coyote”), and Nobuhiko Kitamura (Hysteric Glamour) purchased this series at that time.
In this exhibition in Singapore, we exhibit and sell 9 prints that are selected specifically for everlasting summer in Singapore. (Sales Price : 6,000 SG$)
In addition to artwork, we plan to sell classical camera owned by Wakagi, and his favorite items.

Shingo Wakagi

After graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology, in New York State, majoring in Photography, he works in wide range of fields including magazine, advertisement, music media and many others. In 2004, he started his own magazine “youngtreepress” and worked as an editor as well. Additionally, he is also well received as a film director, releasing the first film, “Waltz of Star Shadow” in 2007 and the second film, “Totem – Song for home” in 2009. In April 2010, he opened a small bookshop “BOOKS AND PRINTS” in Hamamatsu city where is his hometown.

Mike Ming

Mike Ming is a New York based artist living in Brooklyn. He is a member of the internationally recognized Barnstormer, a painter and enjoys traveling and inspired by life. Shingo Wakagi and he became friends in college and they are brothers from different mothers.
